What is the reason for white spots/yellowish/black/rainbow color inside stainless steel cookware? How to clean it?
Release time:2025-01-06
The reasons for discoloration are as follows:
1. Most of our families use natural gas, which is impure and contains impurities. Over time, the bottom of the pot will turn yellow and black after use.
2. When using, if the water on the pot is not wiped clean, it will be directly put on the fire, which will also turn black and yellow.
3. If the temperature is too high for a long time, the pot will change color; or if seasoning is added to the pot for cooking, the color will also change when the temperature is relatively high. Our stainless steel pots have very good thermal conductivity. Please use medium heat before pressing, and turn down the heat immediately after pressing. (Note that the maximum heat sink does not exceed the bottom of the pot)
4. The starch in the water and food is attached to the surface of the pot wall during the heating process, and white spots will be left on the inner wall of the pot. The white spots will not cause harm and can be completely cleaned.
5. If there is a rainbow color in the pot, it is caused by excessive heating of salt and minerals in food. It will not cause harm and can be completely cleaned.
The cleaning method is as follows:
1. Add an appropriate amount of cold water and white vinegar to the pot, heat it on medium or low heat for 1-2 minutes, then turn off the heat, cover the pot and soak it for about half an hour, then add a little detergent, and use a scouring pad to clean the pot in a clockwise direction. (Applicable to residues stuck in the pot)
2. Add an appropriate amount of white vinegar to the pot, heat it on a low heat for about 30 seconds, turn off the heat, take the pot to a flat place, add a little detergent, and use a scouring pad to clean the pot in a clockwise direction. (Applicable to discoloration in the pot)
3. You can use a special stainless steel cleaning and maintenance agent to gently scrub the discolored area in a circular motion, then wash it with clean water. If the yellowing is serious, you can wash it multiple times in this way.
Note: It is recommended to use a scouring pad specially used for cleaning stainless steel pots (such as: 3M)
